Ex-detective Gil Carrillo says Ronni Chasen died from multiple rounds in tight formation, suggesting expert shooter

A retired investigator says whoever killed Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen was an expert shot who was able to fire off multiple rounds in a tight and deadly formation.

Gil Carrillo, who retired after 38 years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, has looked at a preliminary coroner's report obtained by KTTV's Fox 11 News.

He says the most notable clue in the report is the clustering of shots in Chasen's chest area.

Coroner's spokesman Ed Winter would not confirm the authenticity of the report but Carrillo says he is certain it is genuine.

Chasen was attacked Nov. 16 at a junction in Beverly Hills as she drove home from a party after attending the premiere of the new Cher and Christina Aguilera movie, "Burlesque."
