WASHINGTON (AP) — Police on horseback dressed in riot gear are converging on one of the nation's remaining Occupy sites.

Officers arrived at McPherson Square in Washington, D.C., about 5:40 a.m. Saturday, five days after the National Park service, which maintains the property, began enforcing a ban on camping in the park.

Dozens of park officers are standing in lines at the square, though it was not immediately clear what they plan to do.

Just prior to their arrival, protesters began making sure everyone in the park was awake, while a helicopter hovered overhead.

Fewer than people occupy the federal park.
