TONGCHANG-RI, North Korea (AP) — North Korea has put all three stages of a long-range rocket into position for a controversial April 12-16 launch.

AP journalists were among foreign reporters given a look Sunday at the launch site in the coastal village of Tongchang-ri in northwestern North Korea.

North Korea says it is launching an observation satellite. The U.S. and others are warning it would be considered a violation of bans against missile activity.
