Organizing for Action serves up "ridiculousness for ridiculousness"

Sticking to the Democrats' plan to spend August mocking the easily mockable, Organizing for Action volunteers delivered unicorn trophies to 135 climate-denying members of Congress yesterday.

All of the reps who've made the group's list of deniers, including Dana Rohrabacher, Steve King and Speaker of the House John Boehner, were honored for their "exceptional extremism in ignoring the overwhelming judgement of science."

The trophies "are as real as the scientific evidence saying climate change is happening, and the volunteers who are delivering them are hoping they will serve as a physical reminder that their constituents will hold these lawmakers accountable to their votes on climate issues," OFA wrote in an announcement. They backed up the physical deliveries with both a BuzzFeed post and a "best of" montage dedicated to some of the award recipients' more patently anti-scientific remarks:
