TMZ has released disturbing footage apparently showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice dragging his unconscious fiancée, Janay Palmer, out of an elevator. The couple was arrested over the weekend at Atlantic City's Revel Casino after the two got into a physical altercation.

In the video, shot Feb. 15, Rice pulls Palmer's limp body out of an elevator and onto the floor. After a few seconds, Palmer regains consciousness and Rice walks away.

Rice's lawyer Michael Diamondstein had originally described the domestic violence incident as a "very minor physical altercation," but the newly surfaced surveillance video suggests otherwise. Without having seen the footage, Diamondstein commented on the video, telling TMZ that "the video that's being posted by TMZ Sports is not the complete event, but is merely the end result of what transpired."

"We'll assure the public that when this matter is fully tried and completed, you'll have a better understanding of what happened and we ask the public to reserve making any judgment until all of the facts come out," he added.

The NFL is currently reviewing the incident.
