With David Letterman's last day rapidly approaching, "The Late Show" continued its star-studded "goodbye" lineup with a "Letterman" favorite, Steve Martin. "When I heard you announce that you were retiring I thought, 'he's got to be joking,'" Martin opened. "And then I remembered, 'wait, you're not funny.'"

The two pals talked plans for life after the show, and Martin -- the show-guy who has never been retired nor has any plans of being retired --  attempted to get Letterman to cozy up to the idea of retirement. He even came prepared with a video of things he thought Letterman might enjoy in his retirement (pill-popping, putting a bench in the shower, etc.). Welcome to your new life, David Letterman!
