“Saturday Night Live” has tapped star cast-member Taran Killam to don Donald Trump's featherweight wig when the show returns for its 41st season on October 3rd.

In his five years on the show, Killam has repeatedly proved his mettle as an impressionist — from his befuddled Brad Pitt to his delightfully zany Christoph Waltz — and is a reliable workhorse who generally elevates every sketch he’s in, so we’re excited to see him what he does with The Donald in his hands (as his fellow late night comics have demonstrated, there’s certainly no shortage of material).

According to Deadline, several cast members auditioned, although Killam ultimately won out. “SNL” veteran Darrel Hammond, who used to play Trump and now serves as the show’s announcer, was reportedly not considered for the gig, although he is expected to reprise his iconic Bill Clinton impression alongside Kate McKinnon’s Hillary as the campaign ramps up.
