Spin reports that Nashville-based Pavement cover band The Crooked Corners got a nice surprise last week, when they were joined by two surprise guests during a performance: Flesh-and-blood Pavement members Bob Nastanovich and Steve West.
According to Nashville Scene, Nastanovich had some warm praise for The Crooked Corners, saying “it was always so awkward onstage [in Pavement]. There was sort of a misery and tension — I don't see that [here]. What I do see is I see you guys playing our songs better than us.”
