"Nightly Show" host Larry Wilmore last night looked at President Obama's historic visit to Cuba, which "according to Fox News," Wilmore said, "marks the first time an evil communist dictator has met with the leader of Cuba."
"This line of thinking really gets to me," Wilmore said in response to concerns that an influx of capitalism would "ruin" Cuba's antiquated charm. "Because it totally discounts the poverty and quality of life that the Cuban people have dealt with."
"It's not a poor zoo, where we can go to gawk at authentic poor people in their natural habitat," he continued. "Cubans are people too and they're our neighbors and if they want an Applebee's, I say let them eat good in the neighborhood."
