"Opportunistic race-baiting, bigotry (and) xenophobia": Lindsay Graham unloads on Donald Trump on "The Daily Show"

"Daily Show" host Trevor Noah last night welcomed Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who after dropping out of the 17-person lineup of GOP presidential candidates, recently lent his endorsement to Ted Cruz.

"I'm on the Ted train," Graham said. "What's not to like?"

Noah dutifully rolled a clip of Graham last month saying, "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you."

And, for his part, Graham gave the best reasoning imaginable for his endorsing a candidate he hates: "That tells you everything you need to know about Donald Trump."

"I think (Trump's) campaigned in opportunistic race-baiting, bigotry (and) xenophobia," Graham added. "Other than that I think he'd be a good nominee."
