National Review challenges Ted Cruz's college roommate to a battle of Twitter-wits

It lost — that goes without saying, doesn't it?

The National Review has made no secret of its disdain for Donald Trump and support for Texas Senator Ted Cruz, but its social media editor accidentally stepped over a line when it challenged Cruz's college roommate to a battle of wits on Twitter last night.

NRO's Twitter account wondered why Mazin -- the screenwriter of the Hangover 2 and 3, who has risen to prominence on Twitter by recounting the year he spent as Cruz's roommate -- was so "obsessed" with the senator:

Mazin quickly demonstrated how easy it is to outwit what is, in all probability, an eighteen-year-old unpaid intern:
