After Representative Mia McLeod of South Carolina was assigned to a committee to investigate Planned Parenthood, she decided she'd had enough of senseless regulation of women's reproductive rights.

McLeod first filed a bill to limit men's access to Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs in December, in response to the many anti-abortion bills passed in the US. She didn't expect the bill to pass, but it did pass last Wednesday.

The bill will require men seeking Viagra to present a statement of approval from their sexual partners.

"I just tried to make the requirements of my bill comparable to the requirements of women... I guess you could consider it tongue in cheek, but it's not a laughing matter for women who have been dealing with this issue for years," McLeod said.
