"Five states closer to the apocalypse": Trevor Noah's toughest words yet on Donald Trump

"The Daily Show" casts Trump's Northeast primary sweep in horrifying, Biblical terms

"Daily Show" host Trevor Noah last night lamented Donald Trump's unfortunate primary wins in all five Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states on Tuesday.

"We're now five states closer to the apocalypse," Noah began, noting that after his victories, Trump is the only candidate for whom it's mathematically possible to clinch the nomination before the July primary. "That's how hard Donald Trump crushed it last night: he defeated math."

Noah said he's holding out hope for a contested convention, though, because of the John Kasich and Ted Cruz alliance to stop Trump -- which at least one person has nicknamed "Crasich" -- in which the former has stopped campaigning in Indiana in exchange for the latter's promise to stay out of New Mexico and Oregon.

"This shouldn't have to be that hard, though," Noah said. "All Kasich really has to do to help Cruz in Indiana is not get votes, which is something he's pretty good at by now."
