HOROSCOPES FOR THE WEEK OF SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21

Aries  (March 20 – April 19)

The full Aries Moon pours its dramatic light on you this weekend. The three days following will be full of joyful surprises. You’re in a place now where you can really shine, and besides this galvanizing your self-confidence, you will feel smart and sexy and sassy. In the coming week, get ready for another spotlight, relationships-wise. It’s the most important time of the year in terms of others, and brings serious rationality into the picture. Besides designing an important contract, you repair a major relationship. One that caused you major stress. Your heart is your best friend, so treat it well. While the world is exploding around you — yes, it is complete chaos — you call for a deep, mesmerizing truce by truly, finally, relaxing. As the 14th-century Persian poet Hafez wrote: "Be kind to your sleeping heart. Take it out in the vast field of light and let it breathe."

Taurus  (April 20 – May 21)

Changes are lined up in your sixth house of works and plans, and there is no going back if you have committed to someone or something at a distance. You have more to do there than you know. And you will do it well. Brush off the worry the Moon brings October 15; it is simply the ancient fear of change. You are entering a new life, and with new life comes transformation, and Taurus often prefers security. But this is too great to throw away. You heal your relationships and elevate your main profession. Your routine will be disrupted but it is a blessing in disguise. You may not be able to see it now but you’ll look back and see how fiercely protected you were at this time. You find yourself thinking of things you thought were long gone. And you see they are still possible for you.

Gemini  (May 22 – June 21)

You have a charmed life when it comes to spending time with those you love. And socially, it’s fun, especially this weekend. The only fly in the ointment is a contract still not coming through. Not being able to count on resources, such as a trust’s or a company’s money, as you’d hoped. But to worry is like being on a treadmill; it keeps you busy, but you end up nowhere. The brilliant Rumi wrote: "Who am I in the midst of this thought traffick?" So who are you? Your habits of worry were put into place to protect you. They served their purpose. Now that you’re older, many are no longer helpful. However, it’s still important to acknowledge their help in the past. Thank you, past freaking out about the future. Thank you, old worry patterns. Thank you, and goodbye. This week, watch as you break free from them.

Cancer  (June 22 – July 22)

You love the old home comforts and routines, but a new life has come to you. Didn’t Thomas Wolfe, who stole the line, with permission, from Ella Winter, say you can’t go home again? It may be true – you will find out. Your eyes have been irrevocably opened, and you cannot close them again. Mid-October, in other words, is not a light, breezy time. The emphasis, no doubt about it, is on your career and work. You will feel in a challenging situation. Full Moons such as this weekend’s bring the chickens home to roost. Now your past efforts pay off. A resolution of landing that job, position, or promotion. And you are on your way, knowing you have made the right decisions. What a great relief this will be. The rattled feeling that has been rattling around inside of you will start to leave as early as next week. Bravo.

Leo  (July 23 – August 22)

This weekend a full Aries Moon lights up your broadened horizons. And a state of mind you have been stuck in finally resolves itself. And you are free, able to communicate what you want in your domestic life. You are adored by a partner but you suddenly find yourself experiencing anxiety over a choice you’ve made. It’s perfectly understandable you would feel this way. Rather than stressing about it, take time away from the situation. Take long walks. As writer Alice Munro (Ascendent in Leo) advised, "Woo your distant selves." You’ve not had a certain part of you to yourself for a few weeks now. When the lion Leo feels enchained, the universe intervenes. So do not worry if there seems to be a communication glitch in your life. You will fix it. That’s the magic of Jupiter. And you will get exactly what you want. Much to your surprise.

Virgo  (August 23 – September 22)

About this relationship, Virgo. You hit the jackpot. It’s all good. But you realize something about the shared resources and finances. It needs to change. Now you see more clearly, it’s time to value yourself more clearly. Windfalls are some of the ways you could give to yourself — and there have been those — but, more importantly, you’re going to give yourself more, others less. You may even feel as if you’re giving back to yourself years of deprivation in terms of your home and childhood. However, this sacred period, and you must honor it as such, comes to a close as of October’s third week. The fervent wish becomes less fervent. As you move forward you give yourself permission to do what you want to do and in doing so, you seriously begin to claim your life. It is the end of an old cycle begun years and years ago.

Libra  (September 23 – October 22)

With less stress, you are more free. You end this week feeling better about yourself than you have in years. And this following what you hate most: a confrontation. The full Aries Moon brings it Sunday, October 16, with a love or business partner. Remember: When you come through for someone close to you, rewards come back threefold. The chickens come home to roost in terms of this relationship. All is resolved. Because now you get to say what you want in your relationships. Fancy that! You amaze yourself. But as Libra Mahatma Gandhi said: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." For those tortured Libras who are trying to make a decision, after a wait, all will be splitlickety clear. So sharply, in fact — the contrast so stark compared to what you were going through at the beginning — that you may find yourself highly emotional.

Scorpio  (October 23 – November 22)

What’s with all the plotting? It’s like a friggin' medieval court, with all these politics and roles. You are brilliant at it though. The change you wanted happened, when it finally happened, quickly. Take this week now just to enjoy the beauty of it. Venus in your sign has you awesome and on top, more charismatic than you’ve been in years. Even with your life about to expand (when you brave that new direction), with that long-held gnawing fear gone, and all your loved ones loving you, you are still torn when it comes to your own health. There’s also pressure on your career — to make it into something bigger — there are new collaborations and partnerships fighting their way into your life, and then there’s the future work plan. It’s time to call a truce in your associations. To ask yourself whom you really trust, and to go forward with this.

Sagittarius  (November 23 – December 21)

As Sagittarius Mark Twain said: "If you don’t know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else." You’ve been driving through such a long tunnel it’s hard at first to see the light, but you’ve obviously been doing something right. Love relationships change under the full Aries Moon this weekend. In a power struggle with your partner — or your offspring — you must demonstrate the best example. Be understanding, compassionate and wise. As much as you’ve gone through and pushed forward in these last few months, you still have enough strength and energy for this! If you need more help from your partner, you need to ask for it. You’ve been a bit nervous about their wishes. Time to have that open talk. There may be too much "crowding" in your home and you’ll want to clear it out. Especially as you’ll be doing more entertaining in it. Fun!

Capricorn  (December 22 – January 20)

You wrap it up with the family and home this weekend under a dramatic full Moon, events happening suddenly and unexpectedly. Following this come positive physical changes in you. All going forward, all good. For the future, only consider those commitments that do not have the stress of the past. Approach individuals and companies with whom you want to work. You should be able to ask for — and get — more money. Single Capricorns, stay single. Just because you need a lot of stability now. You are making so many changes as it is … you really can’t deal with another one right now. Wait until next month. Do not throw caution to the winds and trust in strange portents. Trust your intuition about a friend or work colleague October 21. You’ll have doubts and that is understandable. But know that you are loved by this friend. No one is working against you.

Aquarius  (January 21 – February 19)

Aquarius Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!" So, come on, you’re the sign of the future. And you have some real financial luck coming. As well as a second chance in your ninth legal house, or, literally in a court of law. Domestically, you’re luckier than you think. But worrying like crazy, imagining some pretty sweet worst-case scenarios. This weekend the full Aries Moon in your communications changes a case you’ve been trying to make for a long time. Suddenly, you are heard. A healing begins between you and those you’ve left behind. Keep your grace and aplomb. If you do get hot around the collar you could risk losing someone, so think before you speak or act. There is the potential for you to be shocked. Don’t take it personally. Your planet Uranus rules electricity.

Pisces  (February 20 – March 19)

Pisces Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. Both his mother and his wife were completely deaf. Here is Pisces at its finest: the ability to create a miracle out of a tragedy. Bell wrote: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us.” The full Aries Moon this weekend is a volatile Moon. People will be freaking out all over the place. Like two fish, you are torn — and swimming — in two opposite directions. One half of you is mature enough to forgive, the other half cannot. You have a small window of healing a relationship. I urge you: heal it. Your ruler Neptune is the ruler of miracles — and these come from deep inside the unconscious. And your psychic recovery moves you forward like nothing else.
