The son of former Fox News host Eric Bolling died on Friday at the age of 19, according to multiple reports.

TMZ reported that Eric Chase Bolling Jr., died from a drug overdose and was having a difficult time dealing with the scandal his father was involved in.

The news comes after Fox News parted ways with Bolling's father "amicably" on Friday a month after he was suspended from the network after being accused of sending lewd photos of himself to female colleagues.

"Fox News Channel is canceling ‘The Specialists,’ and Eric Bolling and Fox have agreed to part ways amicably," the network said in a statement. "We thank Eric for his ten years of service to our loyal viewers and wish him the best of luck."

Huffington Post contributor Yashar Ali first reported the story of Bolling's alleged photo scandal, and expressed his condolences on Twitter after he learned about the death of his son.

"Very sad news, Eric Bolling's son, who was only 19, died last night. By all accounts, Eric was incredibly devoted to his son. Heartbreaking," Ali tweeted.

In a statement Fox News said: "We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling's son. Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family."

In another tweet, Ali retweeted a picture of Bolling with his son and wrote: "Eric + his son. You can just tell from this pic that he adored him. The one thing I heard from people consistently: he was a devoted dad."

As of Saturday afternoon, any further details are still unknown
