A House Democrat is calling on congressional Republicans to hold an immediate vote calling on the Trump administration to release its findings on Jeffrey Epstein.
On Saturday, Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., said he would introduce an amendment on Tuesday to “force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public.”
“The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record,” Khanna said in a post on X.
Rep. Marc Veasy, D-Texas, has joined Khanna in demanding more transparency from the Trump administration. “Either @realDonaldTrump and his acolytes fueled the rumors of the significance of these Epstein files to help his campaign, or something is there,” Veasy said in a social media post.
“That’s why on Monday, I’ll introduce a resolution demanding the Trump Administration release all files related to the Epstein case. Put up or Shut up!”
It is unlikely that either representative will get their vote or amendment to the House floor. Both must pass the Rules Committee, where Republicans outnumber Democrats by more than two to one. The moves by Khanna and Veasy put Republicans in an awkward spot, but they are likely just symbolic embarrassments.

The political fallout from the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files have been intense. Right-wing conspiracy theorist and radio show host Alex Jones, a longtime Trump ally, described the Justice Department’s memo that declared Epstein had no client list and died by suicide as “absolute horses**t.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi has been flamed by some MAGA influencers after previously claiming the files were “on her desk.”
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has grown increasingly agitated over repeated questioning on Epstein. Trump has put his trust in Bondi’s findings, going so far as to claim that Democrats and political opponents created the alleged client lists. Since the memo’s release, Trump has called public interest in Epstein, who he labeled “a creep,” as “unbelievable.”
