Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have heard the swirling divorce rumors, and they want everyone to know they’re not true.
The former president appeared on his wife’s podcast, “IMO,” and immediately negated talk of a potential split. Michelle’s brother and co-host, Craig Robinson, joked about the affectionate couple after they embraced on the set.
“Wait, you guys like each other?” Robinson asked.
“Oh, yeah, really, huh?” said the former first lady. “That’s the rumor mill.”
“She took me back!” the former president joked. “It was touch and go for a while!”
Back in January, conservative commentator Meghan McCain speculated on the Obama’s relationship on her “Citizen McCain” podcast, claiming to hear from “very serious journalists” that “the Obama divorce rumors are true.”
“Oh yeah,” said her guest, Puck senior political correspondent Tara Palmeri, “I mean I’ve certainly heard it for awhile.”

Michelle addressed the rumors directly this week.
“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quittin’ on my man. And we’ve had some really hard times. We had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures,” she said. “And I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”
“Okay, don’t make me cry now, right at the beginning of the show,” Barack joked.
