Western United Fish Company, a seafood wholesaler based in Washington state, has recalled over 3,000 pounds of Kirkland Signature brand Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold at Costco Warehouse stores nationwide.

The recall announcement, issued by the wholesaler on Sept. 20, specifically concerns 3,314.7 pounds of tuna poke with Costco Item Number 17193 and a sell-by date of Sept. 22. The product is packaged in clear plastic clamshell containers bearing the Kirkland Signature brand label with a package date of Sept. 18.

“This recall was initiated after being notified by our green onion supplier of a Listeria monocytogenes positive test result in the green onions which were used only in Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke on 9/17/2025,” Western United Fish Company said in its recall notice. “We are continuing to work with our green onion supplier to determine the root cause.”

The recalled tuna poke was sold at the deli section of Costco stores in Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

No illnesses have been reported at this time, according to the recall.

Consumers are urged not to consume the tuna poke. Instead, they should dispose of it immediately and visit their local Costco for a full refund.
