It was reported this week that political blogger Wonkette (aka newly minted -- and badly reviewed -- novelist Ana Marie Cox) is handing over her bullwhip and stilettos to David Lat. The New Yorker recently revealed that Lat is the blogger behind dishy judicial gossip blog Underneath Their Robes, where he posts items like "superhotties of the federal judiciary" in a lusty female voice under the pseudonym "Article III Groupie." Lat is in fact a 30-year-old male assistant U.S. attorney in Newark who is moving to D.C. to don the Wonkette mantle. It's unclear whether Lat will devote as much blog space to the topic of anal sex as his pixieish predecessor did, but his comfort with online cross-dressing should mean he has no hang-ups about remaining "Wonkette."
