Here's GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, explaining on Fox News this morning why his "counterattacks" on Mitt Romney don't expose him to the risk of "sounding negative" over the holidays:
"Well, I have not attacked him. I mean, that's the point. He has attacked me in the mail, on television; he's attacked me on radio and in personal appearances. I've not attacked him, but I am going to call him out when he outright misrepresents the positions. And the thing is, I think he's doing two things: He's not only being dishonest and disingenuous about my record, but he's hiding his own. And I think that's one thing voters need to understand: If a person wants to be president and he doesn't have his own platform to stand on, all he can do is attack the other candidate. Is that the kind of person you want leading this country, who doesn't have a vision for what we can be, but only can show you the nightmare of [what] somebody else would do?"
