Documents for download

Looking for a copy of a Halliburton no-bid government contract? Then check out outragedmoderates.org, an online storehouse of D.C. documents on the public record. There's nothing on the site that you can't find elsewhere, but it's a lot easier to find docs on Dick Cheney's energy task force -- at least the ones the vice president isn't keeping under lock and key -- at outragedmoderates than it is to scour the Internet's user-unfriendly government Web sites. The site's founder is also providing the documents for download through any number of popular peer-to-peer networks, such as Kazaa, proving that illegal movie and music downloads aren't the only things P2P is good for. So next time you need to get your hands on a Bush administration torture memo and download a better version of Toxic, you'll be able to steal music and stay an informed citizen all through the same P2P network.
