Why Mueller's report won’t give Trump the boost he's hoping for
With the conclusions about Robert Mueller’s probe into president Donald Trump reading like a victory for the president, will they have any noticeable effect on his approval numbers?
“We’re two-plus years into Trump. If you think he’s a criminal, you believe it. If you don’t, nothing’s changed,” SalonTV’s Dean Obeidallah said during a “Salon Talks” discussion following the news. Salon’s executive editor Andrew O'Hehir added that any movement in the polls is transitory.
And now that Trump doesn’t have the investigation and “witch hunt” to tweet about, what will he focus on publicly, Obeidallah asks.
Watch the full episode to hear more about how Trump and congressional Democrats are responding, and a discussion on if there was too much liberal hysteria around Mueller delivering a sweeping indictment.
SalonTV host Dean Obeidallah is also the host of the daily national SiriusXM radio program, "The Dean Obeidallah Show" on the network's progressive political channel. Follow him on Twitter and Facebook.
