Matthew Rozsa
Matthew Rozsa is a professional writer whose work has appeared in multiple national media outlets since 2012. He was a staff writer at Salon from 2016 through 2025. Throughout his career he has covered politics, culture, science, climate change and various social issues. Today he is primarily a science journalist, one who focuses on the broad spectrum of topics related to climate change.
Rozsa holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Bard College and a master’s in History from Rutgers-Newark. He joked with comedians Tim & Eric in 2017, chatted with Elmo the Muppet on “Sesame Street” in 2018, was a guest on Fox Business in 2019, repeatedly warned of Donald Trump’s impending refusal to concede the 2020 election, spoke about QAnon at the Commonwealth Club of California in 2021, won a science journalism fellowship from the Metcalf Institute in 2022 and collaborated with the late Sen. Joe Lieberman in the Lincoln Forum Bulletin (one of Lieberman’s last media appearances) in 2024. In 2025 he discussed his 2018 interview with Jimmy Carter for NPR affiliate KQED.
