Al Roker didn't wake up for "Wake Up With Al" this morning

The anchor overslept for the first time in 39 years

Beloved weatherman, TV personality and occasional sharter Al Roker is really just your typical guy. He slept in this morning because, like a typical guy, his phone alarm didn't go off. This caused Roker to miss his own 6 a.m. morning show, fatefully titled "Wake Up With Al."

As promised, Roker was awake in time to co-host the "Today" show:

On the program, he joked with Matt Lauer saying, "Yeah we changed the name to 'Al, Wake Up!'" The segment turned into Breaking News:
