Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel wasn't kidding when he told comedian Jimmy Fallon that he'd only agree to appear as a guest on The Tonight Show if Fallon agreed to come swimming, in Lake Michgian, in March. Fallon, for his part, admitted that he hadn't fully understood what he was getting into.
The Polar Plunge, which raises money for the Special Olympics, went down Sunday morning, with Fallon and Emanuel transition from the ten degree weather to the considerably warmer 32 degree water. Both appear to have survived:
