Comedian Ali Siddiq discusses the decision behind self-producing his last two stand-up specials "The Domino Effect Part 1" and "The Domino Effect Part 2: Loss," which are available to watch on YouTube. Siddiq explains why ownership is so important to him. "Comics are not covered like other artists," he said.

Siddiq also shares how he developed his storytelling style of comedy and why it lends itself to universality. "People can understand what I'm saying and where I'm coming from when I'm talking about anything because I'm talking from a human aspect," he said. "I take that ownership of constantly speaking the same terms that I grew up with, because it's the layman's terms."
