Editorial Internships @ Salon

Interns are an important part of Salon’s daily editorial operations. They work closely with Salon staff to research, report, write and produce our news and culture coverage. They also take part in editorial meetings and otherwise learn about the day-to-day workings of an award-winning online news and entertainment site. Many Salon interns have gone on to jobs in the media, including Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Elle, CNN and, of course, Salon.

Salon offers unpaid internships throughout the year in our New York offices. To apply, please send a cover letter, resume and writing samples to internships@salon.com. Tell us why you want to intern with Salon! Please specify in the subject line whether you are applying for a News or Culture internship. We require a time commitment of at least 20 hours per week, over at least 3 days. It is possible to do the internship for college credit. Some professional experience is required.

Please do not contact individual editors. No phone calls, please.
