Salon Media Group (Salon.com), a publicly-traded online news company headquartered in San Francisco, is currently looking for a talented, motivated individual to join the technical engineering team. We are seeking WordPress developers, with a need for both Front and Backend Engineers. These roles demand excellent communication skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to work in close collaboration with project managers and non-technical product owners.

Salon.com is seeking an internship candidate with an avid interest in web development to assist the Product, Design and Engineering teams with daily operations, including specifications for site improvements and bug fixes, testing and QA. Must be extremely detail oriented with good project management skills and have at least working knowledge of HTML and the fundamentals of UI design. This position is based in San Francisco. Interns are an important part of Salon’s daily editorial operations. They work closely with Salon staff to research, report, write and produce our news and culture coverage. They also take part in editorial meetings and otherwise learn about the day-to-day workings of an award-winning online news and entertainment site. Many Salon interns have gone on to jobs in the media, including Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Elle, CNN and, of course, Salon.
