Def Jam artist Jesse Boykins III performs a stripped down set off his new album "Bartholomew." On "Salon Stage" Boykins talked about where he finds inspiration to create and his overall outlook on the music industry. "It's not hard for me to find inspiration and it's not hard for me to want to express that, and I also understand that my creative process is also my therapy." Boykins said. "I don't look at it from only an industrial point of view. This is not just an assembly line for me, this is life."
The soulful crooner features a plethora of other talented artists on "Bartholomew" from Syd of The Internet, Noname, Luke James and Willow Smith. Boykins doesn't take the privilege of creating lightly. "There's something that I see in my mind and then I try to make it. That process right there is like, that is the most appealing thing to me here, like, on the planet," he said.
