For "Scream" star David Arquette, watching awards shows like the Oscars can be depressing. "You feel like you want to be invited to the party," Arquette said in an interview with Salon's Alyona Minkovski on "Salon Talks." After more than 20 years in the business, Arquette wishes he could be getting roles that get recognized. "You want to do work that's admired and that people respect," Arquette said. He admits that he's made some mistakes, however. Arquette struggled publicly with substance abuse in the past. Now he's taking on a project more focused on addressing one of society's biggest problems by producing the documentary "Survivors Guide to Prison," which shines a light on the broken criminal justice system in the United States. To hear more about why Arquette is so passionate about political reform, watch the video above and check out the full interview.
