Tullock tells Salon what it means to play a closeted gay woman in 1933 and the thoughtful considerations that went into building her storyline. "I'm always craving more queer stories and I want to see myself and my fam represented, but I think sometimes those stories can tip into a bit of trauma porn," she explained. Tullock shows how to carefully depict queer romance on screen from an actor's point of view.
