CK Smith is the Weekend Editor at Salon, covering breaking news, politics and culture. She spent more than a decade in digital media as a writer and editor, with work spanning freelance reporting and editorial leadership.

She teaches communications, digital and global media, and writing at the university level, in addition to serving as Managing Editor of The Click, NYU’s graduate journalism publication and overseeing their mentorship network.
